Dr. Damir Matic, MD MSc FRCS(C)

Dr. Damir Matic, MD MSc FRCS(C)Dr. Matic finished both his medical school and residency training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Toronto. He then completed a specialty training (fellowship) in Craniomaxillofacial Surgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital and the University of Maryland. During his fellowship, he also had the opportunity to expand upon his cosmetic surgery skills by spending time with world-renowned Cosmetic Plastic Surgeons specializing in body contouring, breast augmentation, and facial rejuvenation both in Baltimore and in Washington D.C. area. Dr. Matic is currently a member of the Division of Plastic Surgery at the University of Western Ontario. His primary academic interests are adult facial reconstruction, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric craniofacial surgery. In his first three years in London, he also completed a Masters of Science in facial growth and facial movement using Botulinum Toxin A (Botox) in the Department of Medical Biophysics at UWO. His current research interests include facial growth, the effects of botulium toxin on nerve regeneration, and long-term analysis of cleft lip repair and muscle movements of the mouth. His research has led to numerous publications and scientific presentations in North America, Europe, and Australia.

Dr. Matic MD MSc FRCS(C) has completed 16 years of post-secondary education in order to provide the highest standard of care possible to his patients.
